WhatsApp Business API

The WhatsApp Business API (WABA) is an official programmable interface provided by Meta. Unlike the standard consumer app or WhatsApp Business App, the API has no graphical interface of its own and must be connected to an omnichannel inbox like MessagingFox. It allows mid-to-large businesses to send bulk broadcasts, integrate chatbots, and manage customer support at scale with multiple agents on a single number.

WhatsApp CRM

A Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system specifically designed around WhatsApp as the primary communication channel. A powerful WhatsApp CRM allows businesses to track leads, add private notes to user profiles, tag conversations logically, and route tickets to specific agents based on skill or availability.

Omnichannel Inbox

Broadcast Messaging

The act of sending a single message to hundreds or thousands of contacts simultaneously. On the WhatsApp platform, broadcasts require Meta-approved message templates and strict adherence to opt-in rules to prevent spam flagging.

Drip Campaign

An automated sequence of messages sent on a predefined schedule. For example, sending a welcome message on Day 1, an educational tip on Day 3, and a promotional offer on Day 7. Drip campaigns heavily boost conversion rates without requiring manual follow-ups.

Comment-to-DM Automation

A powerful Instagram automation feature where a software tool automatically sends a private Direct Message to any user who comments a specific keyword on an Instagram post or Reel. Highly effective for lead generation.

SLA Timer

Service Level Agreement (SLA) timers track how quickly support agents respond to customer queries. If an agent fails to reply within the predefined SLA (e.g., 15 minutes), the conversation may be flagged, escalated, or reassigned.

Opt-in Messaging

The legal and functional requirement to gain explicit permission from a user before sending them automated or promotional messages on WhatsApp or Email. Operating without proper opt-ins violates Meta policy and GDPR.

Adhering to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) means ensuring that WhatsApp communication data is encrypted, stored securely, and that EU users have the right to request deletion of their data from the CRM at any time.
